Whole Planet Recipes
Every week for the next six weeks, I will be highlighting a recipe in honor of the Whole Planet Foundation's Annual Prosperity Campaign. To kick it off, I'll be preparing Black-Eyed Peas and Tomatoes with Sautéed Bananas. Inspired by the dish Red-Red from Ghana, this simple stew of tomatoes and black-eyed peas is traditionally served with fried plantains. Sautéed bananas are a great substitute, and the flavor combination, while unusual, is tasty and balanced. This recipe was inspired by Whole Planet Foundation microcredit clients.
Friday, February 24
Cooking with Halibut
I will demonstrate a flavorful seafood dish that is sure to delight the palate. Using a sautéing method, I will prepare this recipe for Baked Halibut with Tahini and Lime.
Sunday, February 26 (3:00 pm - 4:00 pm)
Cooking Basics
I will demonstrate an easy and tasty way to prepare a red rice pilaf and a simple, healthy method for sautéing greens! I will be making the pilaf from this recipe.
